Rado is one belonging to the Swatch Group brand watches in the Swiss canton of Bern BE Lengnau.
The company has been the great-DiaStar 1962 known for quartz watches particularly scratchproof high-tech materials such as special ceramics, hard metal (tungsten and titanium carbide) and sapphire glass. Some models such as Ceramica or Cerix have won design awards. Other product lines are anatomist DiaStar, Sintra and integral. Models with diamond jewelry are also known as Jubilee or Super Jubilee version.
Rado The word comes from the Esperanto and means "wheel".
